Matt Headley
Matt Headley is a writer, pastor, and entrepreneur based in Northeast Alabama. He spent a decade in ministry — church planting, seminary, a decade of Sunday sermons — before a manic episode collapsed what he'd built and put a name to something he'd been living with for years. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2025 and started writing about it. His books move between worlds: business frameworks for people who never got a clear message about messaging; a premarital workbook for engaged couples; memoir about the farm they almost lost; theology for people who love God but can't go back inside the institution; satire about the church and the algorithm. He writes a weekly faith column for the Anniston Star and serves as a marriage officiant through The Aisle. He lives in Anniston, Alabama with his wife Heather and their four children.
